Why keyboard shortcuts matter in Make.com

Make.com's visual scenario builder is great, but if you're building automations daily, keyboard shortcuts cut your build time in half. This is the cheat sheet we keep open at all times.

Essential shortcuts

Scenario building

  • Ctrl + S (Cmd + S on Mac) — Save scenario
  • Ctrl + Z / Ctrl + Shift + Z — Undo / Redo
  • Ctrl + C / Ctrl + V — Copy / Paste a module
  • Delete — Remove the selected module

Navigation

  • Space + drag — Pan around the canvas
  • Ctrl + scroll — Zoom in/out
  • Ctrl + 0 — Reset zoom to 100%
  • Ctrl + F — Find a module by name

Testing

  • Ctrl + Enter — Run scenario once
  • Ctrl + Shift + Enter — Run with input data

Pro tips

The single biggest speed boost comes from Ctrl + C / Ctrl + V on modules you've configured — duplicate them instead of rebuilding from scratch when you need a similar transformation.

For multi-route scenarios, learn the router shortcuts: clicking a route while holding Shift lets you bulk-edit filter conditions across all routes.
